DermaCare™ Silicone Scar Gel Tape

I had surgery on December 5th and started using this tape on the 23rd. It seems to be working. I had fibroid surgery so I'm not going to post any pictures here and I haven't used it long enough to do a before and after.The tape is reusable I take it off rinse it put it to dry while I'm taking a shower and then put it back on. I am noticing a difference on the right side of my scar. When my incision healed and the scabs fell off there were two sections of my scar that had noticeable raised tissue and I started using the tape. Now the right side is no longer raised and the left side has shrunk noticeably, it's not as puffy and raised as it was before. My scar is in my pubic area so there's hair there but I haven't had any irritation from applying and removing the tape. It's sticky, but not sticky like a bandage or wound tape. I will say that you need to get the scar positioned in the middle of the tape. If you place the tape with the edge too close to the scar the edge might lift up and not maintain contact with your scar.Looking forward to see how it works in the future. I knew it was important to apply scar tape or scar minimizer as soon as my incision healed and I bought this roll prior to having my surgery.

This scar tape has been great. I had a tumor removed and a reconstruction on my breast. It doe not bother me to remove the scar tape and it seems to really be helping with the scar. Most importantly it adds a barrier between my skin and clothing to reduce any pain or sensitivity where the incisions are. I would buy this again and recommend it to others.

I used this product for post-surgery scarring, and it helped keep the scars flat, preventing them from becoming raised or bumpy. The scar tape works by limiting collagen production in the area underneath it. However, I haven't noticed any effect on scar discoloration; for that, I use a lightening serum. Essentially, I apply the serum first and then place the tape on top.

i am very impressed by how it holds up several showers and still very strongly attached to my scars. i see the improvement day by day and one mark on my arms caused by burning on the thanksgiving day now is healing very well while everyone was saying it will be a life time mark !
